Bjarne Olesen is “Director Ground Services” at Lufthansa Systems Passenger Services GmbH, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. 

Ground Services is a multi location department, spread over 4 continents of Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. Responsible for IT Systems delivering functionality to check-in flying passengers of multiple international airlines via different methods, boarding control, biometrics, baggage handling and security. 

Bjarne started his career at Lufthansa Systems nearly 20 years ago. He rose through the ranks by holding positions in many different divisions of the group, including Cargo, Airline Business Solutions, and Passenger Services. In his current position, he directly manages the offshore outsourced team that maintains the mainframe Check-In systems.
