Europe’s largest travel-related technology and marketing event takes place in London next month.
Now in its eighth year, Travel Technology Europe is expected to
showcase around 80 specialist exhibitors and attract more than 3,000
visitors.
Being held at Earls Court 2 in London from 8 to 9 February 2011, the
event is free to visitors and features a range of services designed to
ensure they make the very most of their time at the Show and can plan a
schedule that meets their individual needs.
As well as the free Advice Centre, which provides indispensable
one-on-one technology guidance to visitors, there is a far reaching
seminar programme across two theatres free-of-charge for the first
time.
In the Live Presentation Theatre industry experts will stage a series
of case study presentations highlighting how technology has helped real
businesses overcome recent challenges. Running parallel will be
another free seminar programme, being held in the Travolution Seminar
Theatre, aimed at offering an insight into current travel technology
trends. Open to all visitors, the programme has been created by the
editorial team at Travolution. Subjects up for discussion range from
mobile marketing and the use of Google advertising to the future of
online video and social networks.
TTE 2011 also offers visitors a comprehensive range of travel-related
technologies all under one roof - from back office and reservations
systems to the latest in social media apps and website analytics.
Mike Sherrard, MD of Centaur Travel Group said: “Technology underpins
all modern travel businesses, which must seek to constantly innovate to
stay competitive and keep pace with customer expectations. That is why
Travel Technology Europe is a must-visit for anyone interested in
developing their business strategy and staying up to date with the
latest technology trends.”
However, the event is not just about the technology, it’s also about
the people. TTE 2011 offers an unrivalled opportunity to catch up with
new providers, bolster existing relationships and network with people
from the best of Europe’s travel technology companies. Visitors to
Europe’s premier travel technology event typically come from right
across the travel and tourism sector ranging from tour operators, travel
agents and online travel providers to representatives from hotel
chains, destination management companies, cruise companies and airlines.
There is also a clear pan-European flavour to this year’s event with a
number of exhibitors coming from the European mainland. For example,
Germany is well-represented with the likes of ISO Travel Solutions,
Planet49 and Ypsilon.Net already signed up. From the Netherlands,
mobile travel information provider Travelnotifier will be appearing
while Danish back-office software firm ProCon Solutions will again be at
the Show.
Originally launched as a UK-centric show, the event was re-branded
Travel Technology Europe last year to reflect the growing involvement of
Europe-based travel organisations.
Mike Sherrard added: “The UK remains an obvious location for hosting
the Show as it leads innovation in the travel technology field. We are
actively promoting the show in Europe to encourage increasing numbers of
European exhibitors and visitors to attend and keep abreast of the
latest developments.”
