Open Destinations to Unveil 15th Anniversary Celebrations at TTE 2014

12/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
Leading travel technology provider, Open Destinations is to launch its 15th anniversary at Travel Technology Europe 2014.

The company will be unveiling a new company logo and visual identity at the show, alongside the latest version of their flagship software, Travel Studio.  The software has undergone a number of functional enhancements in the past year, including an updated browser interface and channel manager API, as well as integration with a large number of third party suppliers, ranging from bed banks like JacTravel, Hotelbeds, Expedia and GTA, to car rental suppliers such as Avis and Amadeus Car Hire.

CEO and Founder Kevin O’Sullivan states that the new brand identity will speak to the future direction of the company.  ‘Our business has gone through a dramatic period of growth in the past several years, in our technology, our infrastructure and our people,’ says O’Sullivan.  ‘This new brand gives us a platform to tell a new company story for the next 15 years.’

The anniversary celebrations follow a large scale recruitment drive in 2013, which has resulted in more than 400 staff now spanning across the London and Goa offices.   This includes a recent expansion of the project and business analysis teams, with John Davies joining the London office as the Senior VP of Projects after several years with TUI Travel plc, where he headed up IT delivery for customer and overseas projects.

Open Destinations plans to continue the anniversary celebrations throughout 2014 in both the UK and India, with events that include a customer conference in London and charity fundraisers in Goa.
