More than 4100 descend on a busy 10th anniversary edition of Travel Technology Europe
Tuesday, February 12, 2013
The aisles buzzed with excitement at Travel Technology Europe last
week, as over 4,100 of Europe’s top travel technology professionals met
71 exhibitors at Earls Court for an action packed two-day live event.
The largest event of its kind in Europe, the 10th anniversary edition of
Travel Technology Europe saw exhibiting suppliers of reservation
systems, digital marketing and other technology applications meet with
new prospects, catch up with existing clients, exchange business cards
and seal deals with travel technology buyers.
David Chapple, event director, Travel Technology Europe commented: “The
10th anniversary edition of Travel Technology Europe was a tremendous
success with quality exhibitors, products, visitors and features. We
know this because our visitors have told us and our exhibitors have
shown us. Many exhibitors have sought to get ahead of the pack by
rebooking for next year, and a number have significantly increased their
stand size for 2014.
Europe’s largest travel-related technology and marketing event, Travel
Technology Europe has consistently focused on bringing together
technology, travel trade and transport professionals to offer insightful
expert guidance on technology purchases, useful advice on distribution,
revenue, marketing and sales strategies and topical debates around the
hottest technology issues affecting travel businesses.
Exhibitors and visitors were on a high following the success of the event.
Exhibitor Bharat Patel, Commercial Director, CodeGen added: “The first
day of the event was a very busy day for us, with some good leads which
we hope will convert into long-term business for us. The event, overall,
has been much busier than last year with some good footfall and
relevant visitors – it’s been a great investment for us”.
Visitor Guy Proddow, Golfbreaks.com continued: “I’ve been coming to TTE
for the last several years as you just can’t get this calibre of
exhibitors at any other event. It’s much more targeted than other events
in the sector; small enough to be able to access all of the seminars
that I want to, but big enough that it’s more than worth my while coming
for the day. I find it a very useful event to attend on behalf of my
business and I’ve already put the dates of the 2014 edition in my
diary”.
Exhibitor Lanyon commented: “This year’s event has been extremely busy
for us with some great leads. The experience has been very, very
positive and the quality of our visitors has been second to none.
Without a doubt, it’s been worthwhile attending and we’ll definitely be
back for 2014”.
Chapple added: “While the dust has barely settled on TTE 2013, we’re
already hard at work on the 2014 edition. We plan on building on the
very successful conference programme we had this year and will be
looking at enhancing what proved to be a very popular VIP programme.”
