Record breaking year for Travel Technology Europe
05 March 2015 – Travel Technology Europe (TTE) is celebrating a successful 12th edition of the show, which saw record numbers of exhibitors rebooking for the 2016 show and an increase in pure visitors of almost a quarter (23 per cent), year on year.
2015 saw TTE, the largest event of its kind in Europe, return to its roots as the show came back to the home of its very first edition, London Olympia. Over 5,500 attendees visited the TTE stands over the course of the two day event and the industry panel debates, roundtable sessions, practical case study presentations, speeches, masterclasses and interactive demos were all very well attended this year.
Janie Fox, sales director, Travel Technology Europe commented:
“The feedback from this year’s show has been overwhelmingly positive from both exhibitors and visitors. The speaker sessions and interactive debates and demos were incredibly well received and the new feature, Disrupt, which saw new business start-ups competing in a Dragons Den style contest, was very popular. We are thrilled to have secured the strongest rebooking in history and are looking forward to an even bigger and better show in 2016.”

Exhibitors and visitors shared their thoughts and feedback from their show experience:
Stephane Aita, VP Western Europe at Sabre (exhibitor):
“TTE is an important event for Sabre, providing an invaluable opportunity to promote our challenger brand to a highly relevant audience. The show was full of energy and activity, creating a constant buzz of excitement around our stand. We were particularly proud to share our latest innovations and viewpoints with such engaged audiences during the speaking sessions, which were well organised and thoughtfully curated.”
Tim Loring, director of business development, Comtec (exhibitor):
“The show has worked really well this year, Olympia is a great venue. The speaker slots have been very successful for us, they were a real draw and everyone was talking about them. We've had really good visitor numbers this year too - mainly tour operators and travel agencies looking for a variety of software solutions, which is fantastic. It's also been great to be a sponsor of the Comtec Cafe, which has really reaped the rewards in terms of providing opportunities to speak to people while they are enjoying some refreshment. We've certainly benefited from the more integrated show this year, with some tangible leads from the Business Travel Show. This year's show has been great for us.”
Maria Regester, VP business development, RightRez (exhibitor):
“The show has been fabulous. This is our first year exhibiting at Travel Technology Europe and we’re really pleased. Our primary audience is TMCs and we've had a steady stream of great conversations.”
Cindy Peterson, global marketing events manager, Trust Pilot (exhibitor):
“This year was our first at Travel Technology Europe and we really didn’t know what to expect. We can definitely say that we are pleasantly surprised. It is the perfect audience for us, everyone is enthusiastic and engaged and we’ve had some good leads. The sessions were great too, there was a variety of topics and they suited our business well. Plus, the online diary system was really helpful and meant that we could reach out to companies that fit with our business ahead of time.”
Gill Collier, Conferma (visitor):
“We come every year. For us, it’s a great meeting place and really useful for us to find out what’s new in the industry, any new innovations and it provides a great forum for networking with both new contacts and existing clients”.
Suzy Epps, Acromas Travel (visitor):
“This is my first time to the show. We are currently sourcing a lot of external suppliers, so I’m here to network and make new contacts. I’ve also found the industry sessions very valuable for signposting innovation and new trends in the industry. In particular, this morning I went to one which discussed a roadmap for travel technology, which is something we talk about all the time, but it brought a new perspective to it and so was a very worthwhile session. I will definitely be back next year”.
