Azure Collection to roll out Dolphin tour operator technology
Luxury specialist invests in new booking and back-office systems to support business growth
Chester based tour operator Azure Collection has revealed plans to roll out Dolphin technology across its business. Offering tailor made luxury holidays for both families and couples around the world, as well as Spa Retreats, Gastronomy themed holidays City and Golfing Breaks, the new system will provide Azure with an end-to-end booking, contract management and back-office technology platform.
Azure sales consultants will use Dolphin to quickly search, price, quote and book both contracted accommodation and ancillary products, as well as inventory sourced live from Galileo and through many other partnerships. Thus enabling Azure Collection to boost sales by offering optimal travel products to their customers from multiple sources via a single Dolphin sales journey.
Dolphin’s product database will be used to manage the company’s directly negotiated supplier contracts. While Dolphin’s additional modules including CRM, accounting, reporting, workflow management and customer documentation production will deliver further efficiencies throughout the business.

Dolphin Dynamics focuses on Italian tour operators to lead European expansion
Company founder Roberto Da Re to head-up regional sales and marketing activities
Dolphin Dynamics has revealed plans to focus on the European expansion of its tour operating customer base, with Italy and other key markets in focus for 2015.
Distribution of the tour operating platform will be handled directly by Dolphin Dynamics with company founder, Roberto Da Re, taking overall responsibility for sales and marketing within the territory. The existing Italian office in Torino will continue to be supported by the UK headquarters. Under the new arrangement, Dolphin Italia will continue to distribute the Dolphin mid and back office product to travel agencies from its office in Padova.
Da Re commented, “Our product and project experts are based in the UK, which is recognised as one of the most advanced tour operator markets in Europe. By leveraging that know how, we feel that we can bring expertise into the local markets. Over the last 5 years the UK has seen a dramatic increase of travel agents migrating to a hybrid agency and ‘self tour operating’ model with many making the full transition to tour operators, and we have developed our platform in support of that. Italy is no doubt on the same evolutionary path and therefore offers considerable growth opportunity.”
