Exhibitors range from reservation, distribution, content and mobile & web marketing technology companies to niche providers in business automation, translation and CRM software.
Splitcab is London's first iOS and Android app for that makes booking and sharing minicabs easy.
The minicab shared service is simple: book a fare from a Greater London destination using the Splitcab app and you can opt to share the journey with another Splitcab member for around half of the price for two, a third of the price for three and so on. Car sizes range from four seats to 8 seater minibuses. A simple points loyalty system further reduces users costs.
The app is supplied by a co-operative of licensed London minicab companies. The shared services have initially launched with journeys to airports from anywhere across Greater London. In addition to this, the service will be available to passengers through signed up travel partner Expedia. Sharing journeys to airports will allow customers to save cash, lower their carbon footprint and offer Splitcab drivers a greater proportion of the final fare. The initiative is based at Shoreditch's Tech Hub and a Notting Hill base and has been developed collaboratively by teams based in London, Bath and Ahmedabad, India.
Later this year, Splitcab will launch point-to-point services allowing users to share rides to any destination across Greater London. The team have ambitions to expand to other UK and European cities currently serviced offline via their supply network. Longer term, the technology can be adapted for any shared journey purpose, from river taxis to Open Top buses to helicopter rides.
